Magnus by Parus
Magnus Light LED grow lights are developed in cooperation with Parus, a manufacturer of LED lighting with over 10 years of experience in horticulture and multilayer cultivation. Over the past years Magnus Light has been working together with Parus on these air cooled LED grow lights with COB (Chip On Board) technology, especially designed for the consumer who wants to grow his own plants.
Chip on Board technology
COB technology is known as the most powerful and efficient LED technology available today.
The expert and professional background of the developers has resulted in a series of LED grow lights with optimal color balance, light distribution, efficiency and lifetime. Compared to an HPS or MH grow light, a Magnus Light LED grow light delivers 50% energy savings for the same light intensity in μmol, or at least twice as many μmol for the same power consumption. Magnus Light LED grow lights thereby have a much lower temperature output than HPS grow lights, but generate enough heat to heat the environment to the optimum temperature.
Pro & Standard “White” version
Magnus offers two different light spectrums; Pro & Standard “White” (The ML-150+ only exists in the Standard White version). The first difference between the 2 versions is the visual light color. The Pro version emits a pink color while the standard “White” version emits a white color.
- The Pro version has better growth efficiency because all the light output is used by the plant.
- The standard “White” version has more green and yellow colors than are used by the plant. This makes a white visible light color that some growers prefer, but results in a slightly less efficient spectrum. Because the plant will not use as much green and yellow for photosynthesisMagnus Spectrum
The special Magnus Spectrum also ensures that the ideal leaf temperature (>26 degrees) is reached, which is very important for most crops to fully absorb nutrients and not stagnate. The Magnus Spectrum concentrates mainly on the colors blue (for growth) and red (for flowering). The Spectrum provides the entire light requirements of the plant, allowing Magnus Light LED grow lights to be used for the entire life cycle of the plant. Using a Magnus Light will ensure a better quality of the end product and a higher yield than you are used to with an HPS or MH lamp on the same surface. And all this in a shorter period of time as well, because Magnus Light LED grow lights allow for a faster cultivation of the crop; a short life cycle in other words.
Farred Control
The Magnus ML LED lights are equipped with a separate farred option. This allows the user to control the vegetative phase of the plant. In the vegetative phase this unique color can be dimmed separately. Once set to the number of hours required for the flowering period, it can be turned on to simulate flower formation. This unique color provides the right temperature for nutrient uptake, and because it is dimmable, the user can control the evaporation of the plant. In the final phase, this color can be dimmed again to keep the flowers compact because they will not open due to heat transpiration.
Parabolic lens
The parabolic lens designed specifically for Magnus Light provides optimal light dispersion. There is a better spread of the light to the sides, so that you achieve almost the same result everywhere. The lens also ensures that the light penetrates much deeper under the upper foliage, so that the lower parts of the plants also receive sufficient light. By comparison, Magnus Light LEDS have deeper radiation and less loss on the outer sides than HPS. The parabolic lens also ensures that the colors are bundled, so that already from 40cm the full color spectrum is reached.
Magnus Light only uses high quality components, so the highest quality is guaranteed. Magnus grow lights are made of aluminum which makes the lamp very robust and allows for quick heat dissipation. This benefits the power of the LEDS.
